Unless otherwise stated below, the provision of your personal data is neither legally or contractually required, nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the data. Non-provision has no consequences. This applies only to the extent that no other information is provided in the following processing operations.
"Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Server-Logfiles
You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Every time you access our website, usage data is transmitted to us or our web hoster / IT service provider by your internet browser and stored in log data (so-called server log files). This stored data includes, for example, the name of the page accessed, the date and time of access, the IP address, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO due to our overriding legitimate interest in ensuring the trouble-free operation of our website as well as for the improvement of our offer.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on a user's computer system. When a user calls up a website, a cookie may be stored on the user's operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that enables the browser to be uniquely identified when the website is called up again. We use these cookies for the purpose of making our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Furthermore, cookies enable our systems to recognise your browser even after a page change and to offer you services. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. For these, it is necessary that the browser is recognised even after a page change.
The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO due to our overriding legitimate interest in ensuring the optimal functionality of the website as well as a user-friendly and effective design of our offer.
Cookies are stored on your computer. Therefore, you have full control over the use of cookies. By selecting the appropriate technical settings in your internet browser, you can be notified before cookies are set and decide individually on their acceptance as well as prevent the storage of cookies and transmission of the data they contain. Cookies that have already been stored can be deleted at any time. However, we would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

Social Plugins
We sometimes use social plugins ("plugins") of the social network Instagram.com, among others, on the websites. These plugins are marked with a social plugin logo or the addition "social plugin". When you visit one of our websites that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of, for example, Instagram. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. By integrating the plugins, Instagram receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding webpage of our website. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can assign the visit to your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like" button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Instagram and stored there. If you do not want social networks to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of the corresponding social networks before visiting our website. For further information on this process, in particular on the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Instagram or the corresponding other social networks, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to the privacy notices of Instagram or corresponding providers.
Web analysis, monitoring and optimisation
Web analytics (also referred to as "reach measurement") is used to evaluate the flow of visitors to our online offering and may include behaviour, interests or demographic information about visitors, such as age or gender, as pseudonymous values. With the help of the reach analysis, we can, for example, recognise at what time our online offer or its functions or content are most frequently used or invite re-use. Likewise, we can understand which areas need optimisation.
In addition to web analysis, we may also use testing procedures, e.g. to test and optimise different versions of our online offer or its components.
For these purposes, so-called user profiles may be created and stored in a file (so-called "cookie") or similar procedures may be used with the same purpose. This information may include, for example, content viewed, websites visited and elements used there and technical information such as the browser used, the computer system used and information on usage times. If users have consented to the collection of their location data, this may also be processed, depending on the provider.
The IP addresses of the users are also stored. However, we use an IP masking procedure (i.e. pseudonymisation by shortening the IP address) to protect users. In general, no clear user data (such as e-mail addresses or names) is stored in the context of web analysis, A/B testing and optimisation, but pseudonyms. This means that we as well as the providers of the software used do not know the actual identity of the users, but only the information stored in their profiles for the purpose of the respective procedures.

Google Ads
We use "Google Ads" (formerly Google AdWords) on our website, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). Google Ads enables us to draw attention to our attractive offers with the help of advertising media on external websites. This enables us to determine how successful individual advertising measures are. These advertising media are delivered by Google via so-called "AdServers". For this purpose, we use so-called AdServer cookies, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as display of the ads or clicks by users. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days. They are not intended to identify you personally. The following information is usually stored as analysis values for this cookie: unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant for post-view conversions), opt-out information (marking that the user no longer wishes to be addressed). These cookies enable Google to recognize your web browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on his computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across Ads customers' websites. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can see which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising tools; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google's server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of Google Ads. According to our knowledge, Google receives the information that you have called up the relevant part of our website or clicked on an ad from us. If you have a user account with Google and are registered, Google can assign the visit to your user account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is the possibility that Google learns your IP address and stores it.
We use Google Ads for marketing and optimization purposes, in particular to serve relevant and interesting ads to you, to improve campaign performance reports and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs. This is also our legitimate interest in the processing of the above data by the third-party provider. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by deleting existing cookies and deactivating the storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. We would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent. Preventing the storage of cookies is also possible by setting your web browser so that cookies from the domain „www.googleadservices.com“ blockiert werden (https://www.google.de/settings/ads). We would like to point out that this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies. In addition, you can set interest-based ads via the link http://optout.aboutads.info deactivate. Please note that this setting will also be deleted when you delete your cookies.

Newsletter and electronic notifications
We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications (hereinafter "newsletter") only with the consent of the recipients or a legal permission. Insofar as the contents of the newsletter are specifically described in the course of registration, they are decisive for the consent of the user. Otherwise, our newsletters contain information about our services and us.

Double-Opt-In-Procedure: The registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called Double-Opt-In-Procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an e-mail in which you are asked to confirm your registration. The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with the dispatch service provider are also logged.
Deletion and restriction of processing: We may store unsubscribed email addresses for up to three years based on our legitimate interests before deleting them to be able to prove consent formerly given. The processing of this data is limited to the purpose of a possible defence against claims. An individual request for deletion is possible at any time, provided that the former existence of consent is confirmed at the same time. In the case of obligations to permanently observe objections, we reserve the right to store the e-mail address in a block list (so-called "block list") for this purpose alone.
The logging of the registration process is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests for the purpose of proving that it has been carried out properly. If we commission a service provider to send e-mails, this is done on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure sending system.
Notes on legal bases: The newsletter is sent on the basis of the recipients' consent or, if consent is not required, on the basis of our legitimate interests in direct marketing, if and to the extent that this is permitted by law, e.g. in the case of existing customer advertising. Insofar as we commission a service provider to send e-mails, this is done on the basis of our legitimate interests. The registration process is recorded on the basis of our legitimate interests in order to prove that it was carried out in accordance with the law.
